Francie - Home

Home is Where the Heart Is

I will never forget the day I came home after living in Denim Springs
for 3 months after Hurricane Katrina.  I think that was the happiest I
had ever been in my 10 years here on Earth.  The first thing I saw
when we had reached our exit was the Denny's Restaurant sign
completely twisted.  I knew that things were going to be different,
and they definitely were, but there was one thing that wasn't.  The
spirit of the community was as vibrant as ever.  Our town had come
together more than ever, and that was the moment that I really fell in
love with my city.  With the help of the Saints, we showed the rest of
the country that we were here to stay.
