Shealynn - Pride

Pride

There is no other city like this one;
It sits there along the emerald green river
With iron and steel bridges gleaming in the afternoon sun.
One can trace the oil lines through the dense green
Scars of the past energy industry cut into the marsh
High above the sky they can still be seen.
Skyscrapers always piercing the sky
Though no competition for a Quarter full of rich history
That which catches the tourist’s and local’s eye
And always creates an enchanting mystery.
There is no other city has ever matched
One where Saints are known to tread.
So though there walks that living and the dead
We all still remain whole-heartedly attached.
