Lucy - I Will Defend

I will defend New Orleans,

And all that it stands for.

I will defend my hometown,

Not because its my hometown,

Rather because its much more--

Its a place where culture and beliefs mix

To create something beautiful.

I am proud to say I am from New Orleans.

I am proud to call myself a New Orleanian,

Therefore,

I will defend New Orleans and all of its glory,

I will defend New Orleans with pride

And dignity

And stand up for the bizarre events New Orleans presents us,

I simply love New Orleans,

And therefore,

I will defend it.
